Ugly brown shoes on.

With pretty green eyes

Like little daggers poking/
Excruciating.

MOTHS

Hairballs and mothballs

Stirring her hot carrot soup/
Boiling up bubbles

And ugly screen prints.

Weekender
2/29-3/1

Thirty blocks downtown/
A lot for a girl like me/
Tired by the end.

I have learned quickly/
That it is essential to/
Cherish my body.

I walked this weekend/
But not to Coney Island/
Like someone I know.

The cleaning woman/
Skipped the bedroom completely/
I thought this was odd

Parading around my house/
As if she lives here

DOGS

And charts pointing like children/
Drooling like infants
